As its name suggests, Far North Dallas is located to the north of the city’s downtown, on a beautiful tract of land with parks, country clubs, and tree-lined streets. President George Bush Turnpike snakes along the northern border of the community, while the Dallas North Tollway provides an easy way to get downtown quickly. Shops and restaurants tend to be clustered in shopping centers near busy thoroughfares.
One of the neighborhood’s biggest draws is Katie Johnson Park, a nature-filled retreat with hiking and biking trails and a playground. It connects to NorthBark Dog Park, a popular place for pet owners.
