What Do Luxury Home Buyers Really Want?
Trends and consumer desires are always evolving in our business and nowhere is that more prevalent than with the Luxury Home Buyers. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate recently commissioned a survey that unearthed what values these buyers place in homeownership and where their desires will steer them in their next home purchase.
Findings indicate that 75 percent of luxury homebuyers believe homeownership is a more sound investment than the stock market and 57 percent of employed luxury homeowners believe homeownership is a bigger indicator of success than their job or title. Sherry Chris, President and CEO of BHG Real Estate, states “The luxury homebuyer has high standards and invests the money, the time and the commitment to making their home fit their needs and reflect who they are. It’s remarkable that they do this so well that nearly all – 93 percent – believe their house is the best one on their block.”
Even here locally the attention has turned to what the Luxury Home Buyer is looking for in their next home. Candace Carlisle, staff writer for the Dallas Business Journal, wrote about the results of the story and interviewed our very own Jennifer Robertson about what she is seeing in the market.
